Art in the Wild - Creativity in the Canyon [ $66 ]
Sunday April 27th from 12pm-4pm at Boulder A-Lodge
[ H A R M O N Y ]
The theme for this Art in the Wild is Harmony — meaning a pleasing combination of different parts, a state of inner peace amongst chaos, a beautiful blend of old and new. Come join me for a sensory, creative experience in nature, including both community and solo time. We will flow through a mixture of art, visualization, journaling, movement, reflection and more, with nature as our muse. (No artistic experience at all necessary!) The A-Lodge is a dreamy outdoor serenity just minutes up the canyon, with lots of sweet spaces for us to sink into nature, including a spacious sunny lawn between the trees, a cozy beach by the creek, and meandering trails up behind the lodge.
How can nature inspire us? How do my senses relate to my creative experience? How do art elements inform the process of making something? If I don’t know how to draw or paint, can I still be creative? As an adult, can I still tap into my childhood imagination? My hope for this event is that you walk away with answers to all of these questions with a new-found feeling of harmony, inspiration, playfulness, and inner peace.
What will this experience include? There is a certain trust required in letting the magic of the unknown unfold, and in this letting go, creative seeds are planted. Therefore, below is a general framework of the flow, and the activities of each phase will be revealed throughout the session to ensure the magic of presence in the process!
All art supplies are included. Wear something you feel comfortable moving in, painting in and maybe even getting a little glue or dirt on :)
[ Intro — gentle movement, grounding body + mind with nature ]
[ Going Deeper — sensory meditation, writing + drawing ]
[ Your Creativity through Senses — the practice of “letting go” + engaging in experiential art ]

Think of these as mini Art in the Wild sessions. We will take casual trail walks in nature to sit in wide open spaces, on rocks, and under trees — nature’s magical living room. I’ll guide you through various experiences such as journaling, creative prompts, nature-inspired sketching, grounding meditations, and more. (zero artistic experience necessary)
We all crave the time to truly drop in. Connecting with nature and creative community opens up new waves of inspiration, heightens our senses, grounds us in reflection, and allows us to learn what we can from Mother Earth. Let’s get outside!
These walks will be canceled only due to any unfortunate weather events.
