about bry
I’m Bry (like the cheese). And as far back as my memories go, I’ve been creating. Art, design, spaces, curriculum, you name it. When I paused to write my bio, it became very apparent how incredible all the moments, collaborations and connections have been to get me where I am today. All of it in a paragraph feels impossible. As you’ll find many of my inspirations and musings throughout my website, I’ll keep it to a brief resume here.

a story that perhaps started it all
When I was little, my mom was called into our daycare center to have a discussion about my bossiness leadership during art time. We had been coloring horses, and I was showing the other children how to use colors like brown, black and gray, because that’s what color horses are (not purple and green). So ensued a conversation with 5-year-old Bry about what it means to be creative, and how horses can in fact be any color that your imagination can dream up. A few weeks later, my mom was called in once more, nervous that I was in trouble yet again.
Alas, it was to demonstrate my new creative abilities! I had colored a rainbow horse, which is now displayed in my art studio as a reminder of imaginative expression.
